Ming River Lunar New Year Party with Women Who Whiskey

  • The Bamboo Club 3522 East Anaheim Street Long Beach, CA, 90804 United States (map)

🐍Gong Xi Fa Cai! 🧧
The year of the snake is upon us!  And what better time is there to discover one of the world’s oldest spirits traditions, Sichuan’s baijiu?

While it’s the most consumed spirit in the world, many of us in the west have never really tried it... or know how to pronounce it.  (Tip: Your friend, Gio, is leaving, so you say “Bye, Gio!”)  So let’s demystify things and get friendly with this amazing spirit!

And this isn’t just any baijiu— @mingriverbaijiu is produced at one of China’s oldest operating distilleries, making the storied Scotch whisky houses look like li’l whippersnappers! SoCal Market Manager Tomas Delano Reyes will be on hand to guide us through the fascinating story of this cultural touchstone.

But that’s not all—discover your Chinese Zodiac sign and horoscope for the year with fun resources available during the event. Whether you’re a curious 🐉, a loyal 🐕, or a playful 🐒, there’s something magical in store for everyone!  An array of appetizers (Shishito Peppers, Vegetable Spring Rolls, Pulled Pork + Rice) and a crafted baijiu cocktail will set the mood for a festive celebration.
• It’s all happening at @bambooclublb , starting at 6:30 on Wednesday, Feb. 19.
• Your ticket includes light snacks, a cocktail, and a guided baijiu tasting.  (Feel free to stick around after the event to enjoy more drinks and live music!)
• Tickets are on sale now here!
